Pretty much every river in the state is blown WAY out. However, a little feeder gets pretty clear rather quickly. The water was a little on the low side, and off color. It’s usually gin clear…so, worked out to our advantage. Water’s still cool, and the fish are there.
“Real” steelhead or not, doesn’t matter to me. A huge salmonid of any kind on the end of your line is one hell of a good time.
One of these days I’ll get a better camera out on the water!
Morning saw fish taking big streamers.
My buddy Charlie hooked into this nice gal.
Afternoon they were keyed on smaller nymphs and small streamers.
Then Charlie hooked into one hell of a male. Sorry about your waders charlie!
The end to a good morning/afternoon…Yuenglings and charlie’s famous smoked cheese. Good day…
