I did a fly of the month on my site and thought I’d share it over here as well. Hope you like it. This board doesn’t like 800×800 so sorry if the pics look funny. Here is a link for full res.

Stainless hook Mustad something or other about 2x maybe?

Start shaping just about where the point ends.

Use Lead or wire I like wire since it’s lighter and looks nicer..

That and the Dupree spoon was the only fly we used. They did seem to work well on the Reds.

If you guys want to make the spoons deadly in murky water put a small rattle inside.

Very cool Mike. Definitely a technique I have never seen before. Thanks for posting.

That is very cool, and does not seem as hard as I thought it would have been.

All of this rain has me antsy to do something so I have been busy with the spoons and wanting to build a tying desk.
    Anyway,
When I am putting on the epoxy what do I look for during the application? I have never used this stuff so I want to be prepared.

Hey Keith I was using a paint brush stick not a cotton swap. I found another way to do this btw. I bought some clear glitter glue from wal mart and made the body from that.
