I usually don’t, but I’ve had two very bizarre dreams the last couple years about fishing – dreams I remember.

I do but they tend to be what I call “stress dreams”.  When things in my life are a bit crazy I have dreams that communicate stressful situations.

For example…I find myself wading the flats of Monomoy for 40lb stripers….when all of the sudden…world record size fish start crashing the beach attacking bait creating “the moment I have been waiting for my entire life”.  I pull line from my rod to make my first cast only to realize that all I have with me is my 2wt Brook Trout rod and a size 24 Griffiths Nat.  The next ten minutes I proceed to hit the panic mode and try to find a way to remedy the situation…which of course never happens.

My other common stress dream involves a 12′ left to right breaking putt on the 18th at The Masters and the only club I have is a 6 iron.

The last dream about the crocs, relates to you taking photos of insects.  They are getting even.  ahaha

The first dream deals with your frustration of Lauren being able to catch more and larger fish than you.  hehe

Many moons ago, after a great day of crappie fishing, I would dream that night of nothing but orange and yellow egg shapped corks being pulled under the water but never landing any fish.  That dream happened very often.

Now, the one I had last night had nothing to do with fishing, but let me just say, she was a hotie.

I also don’t remember too many dreams, and don’t recall any fishing dream in particular.  However, at least once or twice a year I’ll hit a hatch, and that night as I drift off to sleep I keep startling awake to the sound of that sudden nearby small splash we all know and love.  it’s a wondeful remarkable feeling for me, and can happen a bunch of times for a half hour or so. (hasn’t happened yet this year though – maybe next week or the week later when I’m taking my annual 2 and 3-day trips to the Adirondacks with my son and the my dad and brother – maybe next week I’ll have that smile on myface). : Regards, Steve

I definately have dreams that involve fishing, but the most common occurance is seeing strike indicators floating down the river.
