I want to get a good fishing camera, I am a guide and have a fly fishing site. That is what the camera will be used for. I have my eye on this:

or should I get a 6 megapixel with 10 optical zoom and just get a water proof case?

Hey Kevin –

Unless you want to try your hand at taking pictures for magazines, and you might, that Pentax Optio WP series is excellent – probably the best fishing camera on the market.

The higher end DSLRs with the underwater housings become extremely bulky – almost the size of a women’s basketball once they are all assembled.
