    Anyone have hands on experience with the Danielsson / Loop

    Just make sure you are looking at Danielsson, I think they are still called LW. Loop is no longer affiliated with Danielsson and their reel is called CLW. Loop is made overseas, Danielsson still made in Sweden.

    No experience by myself. But there are quite a lot (former Loop) Danielsson owners here in Europe.

    It’s a crowded place where these reels are priced ($300+ range). They are good reels, no doubt.
    It all comes down to personal view on design/image. The large arbor reels Danielsson pioneered are so common now, it’s a non-issue in terms of more or less retrieving speed.

    These reels match/look great on high performance rods & brands. On a more traditional rod or brand (like Winston or Scott) I’d say a less pronounced reel design might fit better. Again, personal preference.

    I have a Danielsson built Loop HD 7/10 and I love it.
