I headed down to Costa Rica last week to visit a good friend and do some fishing. Unfortunately, the weather was unseasonably bad due to a big system sitting just off shore and sending in bands of torrential rains and huge surf.
The surf meant that the rivermouths were impassable, so tarpon fishing was out, but we managed to salvage the trip by fishing the backcountry lagoons for Mojarra, Guapote, and Machaca.
Not as many pics as I would’ve liked, due to the near-constant rain, but we got a few windows of decent weather in between the downpours.
