I’m doing an interview piece for American Angler and needed to watch some of these videos on background — they’re really good and all up on Youtube now. If you haven’t caught them, they’re worth your time.
That one is particularly interesting as it shows the Papua Niu Guinea Black Bass that Peter Morse described in his podcast interview several years ago. Watch it turn a 14 weight into chopsticks. Unbelievable. Gorgeous fish, too — halfway between a fat black bass and a redfish.
I wonder what kind of biomass those rivers have? Are they always feeding on fish? I also wonder if like most bass you could get them to feed on the surface. Could be some fun popper fishing.
