I have read that cork drags are not the best in cold temps, better suited for the salt. From what I see on this board there are a lot of well traveled fisherman and a fair amount of Steelhead anglers. I would like to know if there is any truth to cork drag reels freezing up in the cold. I thought a cork drag was the best if you consider Able, Tibor ect.. the best.
If you are gearing up for some winter Steel in the Northeast what is a good reel to go with?
Thanks!
