Joel ThompsonMemberI like what you are thinking Mark. I do believe it is that time of year again. I have lots of snow to play with again this year!

MemberPlus Joel is taunting me with sending photos of the trip that I still need plan when life slows back down. Joel KEEP sending them because I just forward them to my wife saying… “YEP, This is what we are missing out on”
It will happen this year. We are in better shape to manage the baby during a trip as well.

Joel ThompsonMemberYes, even in the dead of winter the cabin can be tempting! This is the photo I sent Kevin to remind him that he needs to start planning for the New Year. This was taken on New Years day.

No need to worry about Cam. He said this same thing last year and then didn’t even submit a photo… 😮 That’s right buddy I am calling you out this year!

MemberWill this be open to us interational folk?
Jan 7, 2009 at 8:33 pm #32468
Mark SchaferMemberNo reason I can see to exclude anyone. A photo contest would be logical, but does anyone have any other suggestions. Perhaps something that would be less time intensive for Zach.

The Itinerant AnglerIt’s a bad year to be soliciting prizes, guys.

Joel ThompsonMemberIt’s a bad year to be soliciting prizes, guys. If anyone has something they want to propose as a prize, please email me and I will see what we have. Everything is kinda shook up right now, and plus it’s the dead of winter. I was hoping to have this contest in a bit greener time of year, maybe over the summer months.
Zach
I think the fact that it is a bad year is all the more reason to add a little fun to it by having a little contest. Let’s give people a reason to live damn it! 😮 And as far as prizes go and soliciting folks for them go I don’t think anyone here is looking for anything big and I am certain that I could throw something into the pot from either the fly shop or my outfitting business and I would think that there are others out there that would do the same.
I do like the idea of having more of a green theme to it Zach. But I think we should give people enough of a heads up so the boys in the southern hemisphere can get after it now while things are green for them! Just a thought.

MemberZach, if you decide to do a contest I am willing to donate a full box of flies. You might want to start a query and keep a list to see what you can get. Might just be worth it.
