Comparing New Olympus Models

Just read this article about the new line of Olympus set to come out in September:

Which represents the best value among the various Olympus models mentioned and which represent a good value vis a vis, say, Nikon or Canon comparables out or coming out soon?

All in relation to taking fishing situation related images?

Would the case mentioned for water resistance be a good thing to have for underwater pics?
