Having seen some monster fires here in Arizona in the last 10 years, I hope any of you folks in Colorado are doing ok. I have a sister driving through the state and she was in awe of the smoke, fire and over all helplessness of the issues.

One of my fishing companions who lives in the Colorado Springs area lost his house yesterday to the fires.

In a kind of ironic twist I listened to a news report yesterday which was saying how great the drought is for the CO fly fishing industry since all of the rivers are way lower than normal for the time of year.

All I could do was shake my head and say “it’s great until the water is 80*+ and the fires have burned everything to the ground.

It is not really great, the water temps are over 70 by mid afternoon, so at that point trout typically don’t do well after being caught. Juan, glad to hear you and your family are okay. BR
