I recently went through my negatives and came across this photograph. It’s one of my earlier fly fishing ones, which is why it’s in color.
Looking at it, I am thinking I should do shoot color more.
    What do you think?

I think the Holg’s character is better in B&W, though I have seen some good color stuff when the light was at it’s best.

    Hard to say I guess..

A picture is thousand words that takes less than a second while a thousand words is a picture that takes a month.

I shoot a lot of color on the holga, I have a pile of 120 film i need to process. I think it works best in situations where there is a lot of color and color contrast. The muted colors often get washed out because of the lack of contrast in the image. So for fly fishing, on the flats, bright sunny days with a lot of greenery or other bright colors seem to work best.
Not saying it doesn’t work in these conditions, just that the results aren’t the best and usually work best in B&W.

Thanks for commenting Chad and David. I think you are right about doing this particular subject matter in black and white versus color.
I have some other things in mind that might lend themselves to color better, I guess it’s a good thing I have six Holgas!
