Getting married in September. The 3rd to be exact. Come Monday the 5th we’ll be in Clearwater FL. Some of that time will be spent on the water fishing.
Any suggestions as to species to target, fly shops, guides (if i need to), etc? I’m quite the rookie at saltwater, as far as on the fly. Thanks guys
Bob, thanks for the great info. I’ll most definitely look into all options you suggested. I’ve got a little jon boat that would be great, but I’m not sure how to get it aboard the plane. We’ll be in touch
Congratulations! Just remember, the new wife is the most important thing, but if you can squeeze in a little fishing, so much the better.
On the other hand, if you’re in Clearwater, FL and the new wife doesn’t let you squeeze in a little fishing, buckle in, because you’ve just signed up for a long, rough life.
Congrats…there is some great fishing in that area…My mom used to have a place in Treasure Island….I’d recommend a guide or take Bob’s offer of a kayak….Finding fish is usually harder than catching them once you find them. Have a great trip.

On the other hand, his wife is letting him plan a honeymoon in Clearwater – aka the strip club capital of the world.
