    Hey guys –

I need to get my Nikkor 12-24 lubed; it is squeaking when it autofocuses and I’m sure that can’t be good for the internal parts.

I have one of those and I love it too! $60 doesn’t seem like too much, IMHO, so you should send it to the manufacturer. Even if it’s bumped to over a hundo that’s a pretty good deal for a lens that cost more than eight times that much. Especially if you use it that often. The biggest bummer is just not having it for the month or so Nikon is working on it but what better time than winter?

    my 2 cents,

From what I have heard, they will lube, clean and check the calibration as well.

Come on Zach – don’t go Wal*Mart on us! It’s worth it to spend the money to keep your equipment in good working order!
