    I did a write-up here:

Smith Chromapop and Costa 580 technology

Question is, does anyone know if any other company besides Costa and Smith are employing this kind of tech?

    Zach,

Out of curiosity, what did you think of the ChromaPop lenses? Did you feel they work as advertised?

    Brian –

I break that down in great detail in the post.

Smith’s Techlite Glass. I have had a few pairs of these over the years and they are excellent. Really like them with a copper lens.

    That’s interesting stuff.

I’ve noticed camera lenses have improved in sharpness in general and it’s down to lens coatings if you read the brochure.

I would also agree about plastic sunglass lenses being less sharp.
At a guess, if plastic could be made with the same clarity as glass, Nikon and Canon would be all over it by now.

Anyway, I’m just at the point of need prescription sunnies so will check these out.
    Thanks for the review.
