The Itinerant AnglerHey Guys and Gals-
I wanted to post here and try to take the temperature of this website a little bit.
I would appreciate it if you could give me some feedback on sections of the site that are not working or appear to have a glitch.

MemberZach,
The only glitch I’ve noticed is sometimes an old thread is marked “new” even after I’ve read it already.
Other than that, the site’s great and I’ve had no issues.

Member1) Does the main page (http://www.itinerantangler.com) load off center for you?
Yes – part of the time.

The Itinerant AnglerHey no problem splitshot, we are always glad to hear from you, and thanks for the vote of confidence.

Member🙂 Nice board, keep up the good work. Lots of info and some nice chats. I notice that there is no visciousness and each persons input is respected. It’s what keeps me coming back. Thanks

MemberI hope that you don’t mind hearing from a three time poster, but: I like the Quick Time idea; I’ve not dug around too much but from my first read I get photo attachments must be made from a web link and not a personal hard drive–wish that were different; from another board I read, and somtimes post on, it seems that even vague references to fishing hot spots can be a point of contention. . . I’d hate to see that happen to your site.
I really enjoy that the tone of your site is personable without being too “chummy”. The photos section is great.
Thanks
Hey splitshot do you fish the mid TN area?
Zach, when I am posting, if I forget to fill in the subject, or if I am not logged in, it will error and lose all my typing. I use Word and copy and past now to try to prevent this, but it is a problem. The text should be saved if it encounters an error. I don’t know enough about Yabb to fix it if it can be fixed.
Other then that great site!

The Itinerant AnglerHey Mike-
I agree, but don’t know how to fix it.

MemberYou might want to change the name to “The Itinerant Sportsman” considering the broadening scope of the site …

The Itinerant AnglerHahaha, don’t worry Ed, I know where my priorities are. All in the name of good fly tying, eh?
Bird hunting is great fun but I am unlikely to ever reach the level of commitment to any form of hunting I have to flyfishing. I still flyfish year round in any weather.

MemberHi Zach, I still become a guest after leaving the log in page. I tried changing my settings, but am not computer savvy enough to know if I did it right. Guy

MemberHi Zach, doesn’t appear to work. (although , again, my computer skills are lacking.) I have Itinerant angler as an approved website, still no luck.

MemberAlso, my cookie setting appears to be at “medium”. I’m sure this is aol specific.

The Itinerant AnglerGuy-
AOL may be setting a secondary no-cookies wall up somewhere.

MemberIt has been a long, long, LONG time since I had any contact at all with AOL, but if memory serves me correctly, you can dial up through AOL, then open Internet Explorer to use for browsing the Net, can’t you?
If so, it might be worth a try to attempt accessing the site through IE once or twice.

Member??? Well, I’m in thru internet explorer. I was on chat help with an aol rep, when my lovely dial up kicked me off . His last statement was to log on with i.e., so after much chagrine, (It appears I lost the shortcut to i.e.) I found something, and am here. I don’t think I’ll ever leave this desk again! I am beginning to hate computers as much as I hate hooking up audio equipment. ( yet another long story). Anyway, If I can find my way back to i.e. again, I’ll sign on that way. Thanks for the help guys.

The Itinerant AnglerHey Guy-
Good, sorry about all the trouble.
You can always get to IE this way:
1) Log on to AOL and minimize the window.
2) Go to Start/Run
3) Type “iexplore” (no quotes)
4) Hit enter.That will work.
