Carp Fly Swap Fish

As most of you know a couple of use had a fly swap for carp patterns. I just wanted to some photos of fish taken on some of the flies. I said that I wanted to catch 10 on each fly. Yesterday it was Tim Pommer’s pattern turn to work its magic, and that it did.

Here you can see the elusive carp using its camo skills to blend into its environment.

All in all it was a good day. I landed 12 total in around two hours, an hour beforing working in the shop and after work. Thanks for the fly Tim.

Nice work – Tim’s fly got me some bass but no carp yet.

Mike –

The nickel eyes on that fly were smaller than any I’ve ever used and I was wondering if they were actually allowing the fly to swim hook up?

The eyes were perfect. The thing that I was worried about was the legs. I thought they were going to spook some fish.

The legs helped me locate the fly in mucky water once, so I’ve kept them on.
