    Just wanted to share some of the flies I’ve been tying πŸ™‚

    Hook: scud or czech nymph
    Thread: 6/0 tan colored w/brown marker
    Under body: small strips of lead tape
    Body: scud back brown
    Head: dark brown hares ear

    Very nice flies, excellent pics. I have to confess to being a caddis junkie. MY fly boxes are packed with em. Im always on the lookout for a new pattern, thanks!

    Here are a few more caddis. I’ve been working with different sized scud backs and like the way the segmentation came out on the cream colored flies.

    Robert, the green caddis was indeed tyed with light live scud back in a 1/8″

    Hook: scud or czech nymph
    Thread: 6/0 tan colored w/brown marker

    Head: dark brown hares ear
    Legs: partridge colored with brown marker

    So, Benny, is this the kind of thing that filled that System X nymph box that you lost on my local tailwater last year? If so, now I really wish I’d found that box. πŸ˜‰

    Darrin that box had nothing but nymphs and they were all proven fish catcher. It also had lots of nymphs from all the swaps I was host to πŸ™
