The 17 year cicada. Some sightings have occurred in our area already. The “hatch” should really be getting into swing anytime in the next 10 days. 4 years ago when another brood emerged many many fish in the area became very stupid. Looking forward to similar circumstances in the coming weeks. Trout, smallmouth, carp…all go nuts for this “super size” protein meal.
If you can get to an area where the emergence will be heavy it should be worth you time and effort.
