    I believe you have the best method of making these loops and I am going to buy some 12 lb. braid when I get to Atlanta.

    Hey Dave –

    For trout-sized tackle, I usually use Amnesia monofilament nail-knotted to the end of my line, with a perfection loop tied in it a couple inches from the nail knot so I can connect my leaders with loop to loop connectors.
