So we hit the water hard every day from morning to night, sometimes in the ice fog

    Launched the boats each morning

and enjoyed the time on the river

Until next year I can dream of catching some more fish like this brusier which came to the net in 2010

Our resident fish biologist went with us for the first time, I think he’s hooked

My best fish came on the last day on the lower river near Mallard, 21.5 inch rainbow which was really skinny compared to most of the fish on the river

I love the river and the fishing but thinking we are due for a change next year, thinking the Madison in either September or October
but it’s tough giving up fish like this

Eric, Think BIg Hole in late September! Call Ryan or Eric at Sunrise Fly Shop in Melrose. If it hasn’t been cold enough for the browns to think about spawning, you should have good BWO and even Mahogany Dun fishing. And the fish will be big!

If you go to Ft. Smith in November, it doesn’t matter where you stay, you cook your own!

Please tell me that five star Polly’s didn’t go out of business in Ft. Smith!
