Hey Zach,
I’m sitting back down here in Patagonia after my recent trip to the states, first one in three years, and taking a break from gearing up for the season by cracking into the stack of now-old magazines I drug down in my checked luggage. Just read “Beyond Atlanta”, in the fall 2012 issue of The Drake, and man, I gotta hand it to you, that’s a hell of a piece of writing. Pretty sure I know the creek you were on too, from back in the day when I spent my free time up in the mountains of the southeast. One way or another though man, kudos – you’re receiving here the first ever letter I felt compelled to send in response to an article.
