Anyone using Bibble?

No, I couldn’t find a trial version for download on that one (maybe I’m wrong about that?).

My trial version of Bibble was awful, IMO. After 20 minutes I knew it wouldn’t work for me. There were terrible banding and posterizing near bright areas such as the sun and the tonal gradations near the sun.

The two best are Capture One and Raw Developer.

Capture One handles tonal gradations and the sun very close to film. I don’t like the interface with Mac, however.

Raw Developer may be the best raw development software available, good price too at $99. It is ONLY available for MAC (sorry PC users), its extremely fast, and gives you more control over the image than anything else.

Thanks Richard, that’s exactly the kind of feedback I’m looking for.  I have noticed that to a degree but I hasn’t been anything that wasn’t easily fixed with the highlight recovery and some fiddling with the highlight end of the tone curve.  I’d give you some before and after but I’m on the work computer.  I’m going to try to shoot some sunset pics this evening if I can, I don’t think I’ve run anything like that through it yet.  I’m definitely going to download a trial of RAW Developer too, looks promising.

Tell me something, if you don’t mind. Is there something intrinsically wrong with processing the RAW file with RAW Developer, converting to a TIFF, and finally opening the TIFF in Photoshop to stamp out any dust/blemishes that sort of thing?
