    Tim,

Hello all! This My first post as well. Long time browser, first time poster :). Back to the question. Since you say you live in stroudsburg, you are literally at the doorstep of the Delaware Water Gap, Plenty of streams coming off the mountains on both the NJ side as well as the PA side as well as fantatsic smallie fishing in the Delaware. As for the Poconos, I spent most of my time around the White Haven area. There is a state park called Hickory Run State Park, Hickory Run is a small catch and release stream that flows into the Lehigh River. Other streams such as Mud Run, Big Springs and many others are all great streams for brook and brown trout. And of course you have the Lehigh itself which is mighty big water but is packed full of trout and smallmouth. In the Spring and Summer and early fall this area gets really busy. I liked fishing best in LATE fall and all throughout the winter. Hope this helps a little.

    Tim,

The streams Joe talked about are a great place to start.
