Simon ChuMemberHey Arble.
I know what you mean. I never thought of the US as an exotic fishing location until I’d been and then all I want to do now is go back. ๐
Wonderful hospitality and so much to offer.Jul 22, 2008 at 12:29 pm #27575Gary Sundin

MemberAll this and a Jeff Koons exhibition… wow… what a trip…
For the folks who are sure who Jeff Koons is… A quick description would be… He is the modern day Andy Warhola who looks like a conservative banker and has a factory of folks creating crazy pop art paintings and sculptures.
Way off topic for a fly fishing site but I had to acknowledge the “high art” part of this trip.

A picture is thousand words that takes less than a second while a thousand words is a picture that takes a month.

Nice summary Kevin.
For those still in the dark.

The NYC skyline made it all the more dramatic.

MemberI love his sculptures but really dislike the paintings his studio produces. Interesting guy and story, Koons quit wallstreet to do his art and now he is the ultimate creative director, getting his employees to create the art he has in his mind. His studio is setup in similar fashion of Warhol who used other folks to create the work with his name on it.
I had a typo in Warhol’s name but Warhola was his real name. If his mother called him that, it is good enough for me.
I am waiting on a Koons big fish sculpture like this.
