Last weekend, I was stalking carp, and a snake came slithering by less than a foot from my legs. I froze, but freaked internally. As I looked at it, I knew it was not a Cotton Mouth, but still, the feeling of fear gripped me. After some colorful words, my buddy behind me assured me that the snake was not harmful.

Curious, after posting this I found this pit viper in my yard mowing today. It’s a pigmy rattlesnake about a foot long, and we seem to have a number of them on the hill top where I live and have seen them before. They are a beautiful snake, but I would not want to get bit by one on any appendage or anywhere for that matter. They have a very small rattle that makes a buzz sound like an insect you might or might not hear.

    Australia is a dangerous place..

Here you’re part of the food chain not just an observer.. 😉

I think that’s why a lot of us go to UnZud to fish – no snakes or dangerous spiders, no crocs, no killer jellyfish and no annoying flies..

Sure, the people there aren’t very good looking, but the landscape makes up for that.. ;D

A picture is thousand words that takes less than a second while a thousand words is a picture that takes a month.
