I notice that several members are using Lightroom and I am curious about the functionality and features that separate these 2 applications. I only used one of the early Betas of Lightroom so, my knowledge is limited about lightroom and I am curious if it will make my work flows any faster. I shoot only Raw on all contracted assignments and/or potential stock photography. I then shoot jpeg or Raw on casual and recreational shootings, depends on my mood and the amount of work that I already have to do on the other contracted assignments in post edit.

With CS3 I can batch edit both Raw and jpeg with the updated Raw converter so, I am curious about how much more functionality Lightroom has compared to Adobe Raw. I also prefer individual post edits but for the contact sheets, I will do a batch edit for review with publishers and staff at the end of each session. For recreational, I will batch edit as well and then separate potential stock photography for further independent editing…

So, I am curious about how Lightroom is better than the Adobe Raw converter as they both are able to batch edit raw and jpeg?
