    Hi

Some of you might be aware I have developed a bit of an interest in

    Will,
IMHO, you first need to decide what type of story YOU wish to write. Will this be a historical narrative w/ bits of entomology, or will this piece you plan to write be a scientific entry, containing bits and pieces of the man you referred to?

Also, consider your audience. For whom will you be writing this story: flyfishermen, other bug-nuts, etc.

What is your ultimate goal with this piece: publication, informative essay, etc.?

I realize the frustration in answering your query with more questions, and I do apologize, but I think that these key ingredients will aid you in coming to the final piece.

    HTH,
    Dusty

Will, I’m no pro, but I would write three articles as Dusty intimates.

Sell one to the Historical Entomology Review, one to the Prairie Homestead Companion, and one to the Divine Messenger.

Why limit yourself to one article? If you’ve done your research, it should be easy to change the audience. This seems to me to only be efficient writing and smart business.

I completely agree w/ Scott. And I am sure others will have valid and helpful info. as well, but in the end, it might help to decide exactly what is you want this piece to convey and what you to hope to accomplish with said piece.

Can we expect to see samples?
