Not sure if this has been covered elsewhere here but its worth covering again. In my view this will go down as one of the great fly fishing books of all time. Andy Mill has compiled an extraordinary collection of interviews, history, science and just good old fishing in a book that is an immense tribute to this great and disappearing fish. When you read about the numbers that were in Florida only 40 years ago you have to fear for the future of what is left.
Its $100, and worth every cent. Buy it online from WildRiver.

The price is pretty steep and tarpon are just such a hard to reach fish for a ton of people. I couldn’t see somebody shelling out the change unless that fish was their passion as well. And they had $100 to drop for a book, not easy in a discresionary economy.
But then again, it may sell like hot cakes.
