Me and my wife Becky spent last week with Arkansas guide John Wilson chasing huge brown trout. He termed it hero or zero. Becky was a super hero all week hooking up with several fish of a lifetime with the help of John and his amazing fish sighting ability. Here are some pics from the trip.
29.5 inch brown with a 18.5 inch girth. Estimated at 15-16 pounds.

I am so proud of Becky she did a terrific job fighting such a beast on light tippet. The cool thing is she received a call from the Sage rep congratulating her on such a great fish.

We fished several patterns during the week but consistently took most of the larger fish on the SJW including her big fish.
I can’t believe that the SJW on the Zed worked! From the looks of his lips I would be surprised that anything smaller than 4/0 hook would sink in to his tissues.
My God that is a beast of a brown your wife caught! If my wife ever caught something like that I would never hear the end of it! All she would say about every fish you caught after that is “Oh that’s a cute little fish you have there!” Damn that is a nice brown!

I keep coming back to this thread. I’m still not sure what to say. I keep looking at that Brown and your wife and her smile and then I smile and DAMN that’s a big Brown. 🙂 And let’s not forget, it’s also got some very pretty colors. You should have put yours first when you posted though. Yours is a fish, which on any other day, would likely be the biggest fish caught, most places anyway. Still, they are both impressive fish. 🙂 🙂 🙂
