Mark SidesMemberA couple of my oldest fishing buds and I were lucky enough to all have our lovely brides out of town at the same time……I know, happens once in a lifetime maybe.
We packed a bunch of venison, vino and whiskey, ditched work (we are all old enough to pull that off these days) and spent a few nights on our favorite Missouri trout stream.
Stream levels and flow were good but the water was Gin clear and the fish were staying down and spooky with too many Herons around.
We didn’t have any fun at all….-

Mark SidesMemberA follow up with some instruction please.
I wanted to post reasonably full sized pics rather than the postage stamp sized attachments. Searched for the proverbial instruction page on posting photographs and was stumped.
Can someone steer me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance……Jun 21, 2013 at 4:26 am #74111
Tim AngeliMemberSounds like a great trip Mark.
In regards to posting photos, I have always used IMG tags to insert photos directly into my posts here. I had to play around with it a bit to get it to work on this newly updated version of the board. If you click the “img” button on the top of the window where you create your post on this board, a pop-up window appears prompting you for the URL of the image. You can then copy the URL of your image from an image hosting site (e.g., photobucket.com) into that window, and it will insert the image directly into your post.
Cheers,

The Itinerant AnglerTim is correct; this site runs on WordPress. Your thumbnails are clickable to go to full size (with no size restriction), but in order to get them to display “in-line,” you have to host them somewhere first. Once they are hosted on a site like photobucket.com, etc., you simply use the ‘img’ buttons to input the link.
One further note: this site doesn’t use the old bulletin board short form tags. So,
won’t work. Instead you need to use the proper html form of < img src=”yourpicturehere” > (with those brackets closed in and no spaces) in order to display a photo. It’s kind of six of one, half dozen of the other.
In the mean time, I’ll see if I can modify the thumbnail size to display in more like 400 pixels wide for future attachments.

The Itinerant AnglerThere we go; I increased the attachment thumbnail size. Let me see what happens when I use a vertical image. This software has more trouble with horiz. versus vertical than our last board.
This was my legal secretary yesterday.

The Itinerant AnglerWell, not ideal but it will work for now.

Mark SidesMemberOut of all the law offices in which I have spent too many hours, that is, by far, the most “unique” looking secretary I have ever encountered…and better looking than a few of them as well.
With the above guidance offered and a little creative language I will see if I can’t dial in the photo posting. Zach and Tim, mucho gracias amigos.

Zach Matthews. Reason: Yes, but you need to post the link to the actual picture, which ends in .jpg. Click the image you want and go through flickr to the 'medium' file size, then right click that image and select the url to post here. Otherwise you did it correctly, Mark
