If I dont buy a new 5D or its successor  as a FF/second body Id been thinking about buying a 40D as a backup. Loved the body and theres something to be said for 1.6 sensors for wildlife.

Now with 15mp cropping in post is a serious option and still retaining a file thats large enough for covers.

This is gonna kill me.
50D….the still unannounced 5D successor which we can safely say will have the same Comos 4 with noise control that must be killer given Canons able to up the MP from 10mp to 15mp on the 40/50D.

Good times.
Not so good on the wallet, or which to consider dilema. I foresee weeks (or months) of mental anguish coming.

1) I want to see what the new 5D especially the new Digic 4
2) give it time to let the people who have to have the newest offerings be the guinea pigs.

I bet that would be a killer camera for macro work – with the 100mm 2.8 macro lens it would be awesome for shooting insects in the field.
