It hard to believe there are 30″+ Rainbows and 20″+ Cutts cruising under this: Trout Lake, Yellowstone National Park, December 30, 2009

It’s just 167 days to the lake opener in the park 🙁

Thank you for posting these photos, this in on my to do list, Yellowstone in winter.

I’d love to see Slough Creek, wonder if the second meadow stretch is froze over ?

Slough and Lamar are solid in the valley so I suspect the 2nd meadow is too!

I remember when we hiked up to Trout lake in 2007 and did this because we had nothing better going on that day.

I love that place. Pulled a fair number of good cutts out of there this passed summer and had a solid two foot rainbow eat my caddis.
