3 weight G2’s

    Does anyone own the 8’4 or 8’8 3 weight G2? I had a chance to cast the 4 weight versions at a show and really liked them. The only question I would have is can they handle some wind? I ws casting them inside so hard to tell how they would feel on the water.

    I think some wind would be no problem. The G2 is a tad faster than the original G (which I didn’t like). Obviously utilising double haul will take care of some wind.

    Just curious:
    why would you use a #3 rod if the area you’re fishing is so windy?

    To clarify this rod will be for smaller spring creeks like Depuy’s in Paradise valley MY but their is wind that kicks up out West even on smaller waters.
