Zach, I recommend putting in at Curtis Switch. My favorite section to fish on the Toccoa starts at Curtis and downstream for 3 miles. There is a really nice deep hole about 1 mile past the first power lines which holds a lot of good size rainbows (2lbs or more). The property owners on the left have a feeder going all the time so the fish will hold to that spot. If you put in at Curtis just after they stop releasing (like 30 – 45 min after) you can ride the highwater down and have a better opportunity to catch a big’n.
I will say this section is more challenging than the section from the Dam to Curtis and can get real shallow from the power lines to the deep hole I mentioned. That’s another reason it is good to put in just after they stop generating.
