    Hey guys –

I am working on putting together a blurb for American Angler on fly fishing college courses.

I am almost positive that PSU still offers their fly tying and intro to fly fishing classes.  Even though George has passed away and Joe is retired they still offer them.  Its tough to find the right tele number with monster universities like that.  If you are having trouble I would call the TCO fly shop at State College and talk to Paul.  He is a well known guide in the N.E. and I think Wyatt on their staff is a PSU grad.

Zach, the Northwest Arkansas Community College offers Fly Fishing and Fly Tying as a continuing education course.

Tyler Junior College in Texas also offers fly fishing classes.

And the Department of Intramural/Recreational Sports is sponsoring a new Fly Fishing Club at the University of Arkansas.

Pretty sure the University of Utah has some FF classes.

IIRC a few of the University of WI locations offer ff courses also.

    Zach,

My buddy and I teach a fly fishing class at Kansas State University for 1 hour of Recreation credit, co-offered through the University for Mankind (a local not-for-profit offering a variety of classes taught by practitioners of various arts) for non-credit.

    Zach:

I know that Texas A&M has a course in the Entomology Department called “Aquatic Entomology for Anglers”.
