The Angling Exploration Group is many things, but timid isn’t one of them. From Patagonia to New Zealand, Iceland to (now) Mongolia, these young fishermen, world-travelers, and even (in fly-fishing circles, anyway) revolutionaries, are perfectly prepared to drop a bomb on the staid angling public. But never let it be said that theirs is also the slacker culture: few anglers are willing to roll square into the mouth of the unknown, and none of them do it in such an entertaining fashion. Join the AEG crew live this week from the Mongolian steppes, where they are targeting lenok trout and elusive, massive taimen. |
