MemberBy the way . . . on the topic of travel.
Over the past year I have stopped using the roller luggage all together. I used to carry my rods, reels, and tippet on the plane, along with my laptop, cords/plugs and batteries. However, it is now the camera gear that gets carried on and the rods and fishing gear and boat bag get packed in a light weight (cheap $20) duffle bag along with the clothing. It weighs nothing and that keeps the total check on weight down below 50 pounds.
Finding a good way to incorporate the Pelican case into the schema would be great. Any ideas?

MemberAs a follow up, I must admit that fishing on my own without a cell phone is truly God’s gift of relaxation.
Technology sucks 😮
Here is a picture from this past weekend on the Holston River.

MemberLOL Mike.
I actually have a special OtterBox cell phone case.

MemberWithout my cell phone I would never fish again. I’m that guy who’s always taking phone calls on the river; it’s the only way for me unfortunately.

MemberType in your itinerant angler “nickname” on that site and be ready . . .
Almost every picture I have ever posted to this board comes up with a notion for itinerantangler.com.

MemberA small Personal Flotation Device (PFD) that would fit around your neck and could be used in a float tube or for wading . . . BUT cost less than $100. The current models are good but way overpriced.

MemberThat last shot is hilarious . . . love the dog going after the fish tail.
Damn nice brown 😀

MemberWelcome to the site Karsten. I love any pattern by Muz Wilson and your photography does great justice to the patterns. Your lighting is nice and broad and the flies really pop. Thanks for sharing.
We can’t wait to see a brief description of the tying sequence. Are you allowed to post a recipe of the Fuzzles?

Memberthe main thing that the egg has over a smoker is it can also double as a grill, wood over for bread(fantastic) Pizza oven, etc…
Yep, the ceramic grill/smokers are very versatile.
Recently my good friend from India taught me how to make the Egg into a Tondoori Oven!!! The internal temperature will get as high as 650 F. Then you open it up full throttle and throw off the top and the flames are like a jet engine. Then place a heavy fire safe (autoclave safe) stone in the bottom for a fire shield. Buy a long 4′ metal rod (skewer) from Home depot and pierce the Tandoor chicken with an L shaped bend in the bottom to hold the chicken in place. Stick that baby straight down the top tube and wear heavy fire-safe gloves. 6 minutes and you have the best Tandoor chicken in the world. This method also makes great Naan bread; just slap the dough on the side and hold in place 2 minutes. Yum.

MemberSo here is something HUGE in LR3 – you can export slideshows as videos with music. But even more impressive is the fact that it can be done at 1080i resolution :o.
I tried it tonight and exported a 10 shot slideshow in 1080i and cut it into a video tutorial timeline in similar HD format. It was flawless.
So . . . for those not working with a video editing application, this means you can also make a slideshow from a fishing trip or vacation, set it to music, export it as a movie in any resolution and upload directly to YouTube!

MemberWe’ve all had those moments when we drink a little too much and create a pattern not unlike that monster ;).

MemberI just upgraded. It is a great program which fixes some of the common complaints from LR2. Tethered shooting was the “big surprise” this time, but I was hoping it would be something more substantial like the spot brush tool was in LR2.
Personally, it’s all the “little” tweaks that make this such a good program vs LR2.

MemberI want to go there RIGHT NOW 😀
