    It’s hat time again.

Which fly shop has the neatest own logo hat?

Joel Thompson’s shop’s hat is really awesome, and his personal company’s hat is even cooler:

Leland Fly Fishing Outfitters also has a logo I have always admired.  It’s hard to beat a hat from a way-out destination (I have a friend who fishes in a Nebraska farmer’s hat with a Chilean logo and even though it looks kind of goofy, it’s still really cool).

Its not a fly shop but I say the coolest hat out there right now is from Scott Fly Rods.

They have a trucker hat with the Colorado state flag on it. If and when I ever have $20 laying around this is on my very short list…something about it is just sweet. (I’d be willing to accept a free one for regional promotion!

But for fly shops…I stumbled across a fairly new fly shop called The Red Truck Fly Shop.  Their logo is really cool…they need to make hats.

Tim, they do have hats. I like their logo as well. Their hats not so much though. Red Truck Fly Fishing is actually a division of Leland. I agree with Zach in that Leland has one of the coolest logos out there. Between Leland and Red Truck someone is on the ball as far as logos are concerned.

Zach, an interesting podcast subject might be to interview one of the big shops with both a brick & mortar and web presence. You have interviewed many folks in the fly fishing manufacturing end. It would be interesting to hear from some folks on the retail side as well. Possibly one of the big boys and someone on a smaller more regional/local scale.

I’m more of a visor guy and never found one in a shop that I liked. That being said, I do have one favorite ball cap.

My all time favorite fishing hat is my Aspen Fly Fishing hat.
just simple words ‘Aspen Fly Fishing’ on the front and ‘catch and release’ on the back. full cap. It is fitted with a flex fit type material and is terribly comfortable.

    The brand/maker is Kemosabe.

I picked up a Grizzly Hackle hat in Missoula in college that was a favorite.

Little River also has a cool cap;  one with the Brookie in Sage Green.

I had to go look in my hat box but, I liked the Little River Fly Shop Brookie hat so much I bought it in both the tan and the green color!!!

No green Sages in this house, only Winstons!!!

With a little luck I will post these without saving to photobucket.   .  The Little River Outfitters hat is a beauty, a fine fly shop as well.  My old Waxed Scott hat, and I really like the old look of the Dan Bailey hat.  I left my Trouthunter hat over at the cabin, or it would have been in the shot as well.  I think their Osprey is the coolest.
