Don’t know if these are alowed. This was a picture witch wasn’t a keeper. I played around a bit with Photoshop and like to know what you guys think about it now.

Not allowed? I don’t understand why it wouldn’t be allowed? By who, the forum?

If you’re looking for a critique, here’s what I think.
The texture is distracting from the product. You want to highlight the reel and it’s craftsmanship in a photo like this, and the texture prevents that.

At first glance, I see some of the things Chad saw.

Instead of screening over the product try either masking it to make it pop a little more or change the screen to multiply. Mask out the texture to get the detail and contrast of the reel. It is a good direction but make the product shine like they said. The balance is a little off from top to bottom (a little to much space on the bottom and the reflection looks off) ALSO, what color is the reel? that is another selling point.

Another thought is to darken the whole thing to give it an “Edgier” feel. I had an old creative director who use to see stuff like this and say “Are you selling Panties? – Make a Man want it.”

    It is the right direction

Thanks for the reply’s guys. I’ll work on a better version and will try fix the things suggested. And ofcourse will post an update here.

Kevin the reflection is a real reflection, can a real reflection be “off”? Or did you not mean , not correctly created in photoshop?

I figured that was the real reflection. It just looks off to me for some reason. I am not sure about a plan of attack for that – if any. Maybe play with scale and skew of the reflection only or leave it
