MemberI recently got some close up lens for my Holgas, there are two sets, a “close up” set that come in 120, 250 and 500mm lengths and a “macro” one, that come in 30 and 60 mm lengths.
It’s been a challenge dialing them in, as far a focusing and composing goes, but I think I have finally dialed it in.This first one, was done with either the 60 or 120mm lens:

This one of a stonefly nymph shuck was done with the 30mm lens.

What do you think?
Thanks,

MemberBrian,
Awesome as always. When are you going to build me the perfect Holga? Actually, I would settle for a mid-range Holga.I always enjoy seeing your images. Please keep it up!!!

No doubt you’ll work out this macro dimension. Looking forward to seeing your results.

I am still figuring where I want to take it the macro, but these are the first successful images I have had with it.
Thanks

MemberBrian the bottom one looks like its been shot with a Lens Baby. How much control do you have over effects such as that or is the lack of control and mystery of what might turn up part of the appeal?

MemberMorsie,
Yeah, the challenge of making interesting and compelling photographs with a simple camera is big part of the appeal for me.
I use a Holga that has been slightly modified from http://www.holgamods.com, the biggest modification he does is makes the one aperture into two usable ones.

Chad SimcoxMemberMacro on a holga is impressive since it’s a barebones rangefinder. That first shot looks great!
