Jul 23, 2013 at 3:04 pm #74423Zach Matthews The Itinerant AnglerHey guys – What are your favorite shots from the last year? I had a slow period on the whole but there were some nice things along the way. Jul 24, 2013 at 1:22 am #74436 Jul 24, 2013 at 1:22 am #74436Jason DeBacker MemberGreat shots Zach – really like the first, second, and big stripe boat-side. Not at the same level, but I’ll play. Very slow year for fishing – I’m past those years with 100+ days on the water – at least until my kids get old enough to stop liking me. Did get to fish in two new states and add at least one fish to the list of species caught on fly, so not all bad. My son last summer, not quite two-years old – I love how he’s holding the rod.
One with me as the subject:
  First fish of 2013.
  Chasing goldfish.
Tons to learn, but enjoying having a macro lens.
  My son choosing the fly.
  Grass flat.

I wish we had any form of stillwater trout fishing whatsoever here in the South. I like that grass flat shot. Jay – Good. Maybe with some more practice you’ll improve. HAHAHHA. Seriously man, those are sick and that skinny water brown is one of the best of those I have ever seen. Guys like Jay take a potential risk of sacrificing a sale by posting shots like that here and we really appreciate that. And promise not to tell editors. 🙂 Zach Jul 27, 2013 at 5:47 am #74516 J A Y M O R RMember J A Y M O R RMemberThanks Zach. That is nice of you to say. It’s not about the print. I learned that a little while ago. However, if they come knockin’, I will provide. They know how to find me 😉 Jul 27, 2013 at 7:54 am #74517 David AndersonMember David AndersonMemberLovely shots guys… If a favorite needs to be picked – for me it’s Brian being Brian – looks like a great spot. Jay, the bokeh on your last shot is cracking BTW.. www.dsaphoto.com A picture is thousand words that takes less than a second while a thousand words is a picture that takes a month. I realize now that I didn’t get nearly as much fishing in during this last year as I would have liked, but here are a few of my favorite photos: Jul 30, 2013 at 3:21 am #74550 Jul 30, 2013 at 3:21 am #74550Mike Anderson MemberGreat shots everyone!
