chris zandoMemberAnybody have any insight into what new stuff is coming? I know Winston is adding some new models to the BIIMX line, new Sage rod to replace the TCR series, etc.
My guess is that this may be a slow year due to the economy!

MemberI’ve seen all the new fly fishing gear Patagonia is making. I must say that the stuff is pretty sweet.

MemberYou’ll like the new mag series from William Joseph….very cool stuff. No zippers and nothing to really snag flyline. They may also have some waterproof gear coming down the pipe 😉
Scott has some really, really cool stuff coming out for the fall as well. We’ll just have to wait and see what those boys have cooked up…news should be out in a day or two.

The Itinerant AnglerDavid –
I suspect that’s going to be a sentiment that just about every angler feels like expressing in 2009, and I am sure it has the manufacturers terrified.

MemberI think Tim has a point – it would be interesting to hear the perspective of the manufacturer’s on the “high end” gear; stuff like the $700 waders and $100 fly lines.

David AndersonMemberI don’t think were tht bad off here in Oz yet, but just the same, everyone is being cautious now and I hear sales of tackle are down.
I’m not spending much on gear at the moment, but a bunch of new stuff in the market will, ass ever, be hard to ignore.. 😉

MemberI think Carter had a quote about vises back when about the fact that if a Renzetti was named “Bill’s Vise” or “Jones Vise Company”, it might not be as popular.

Of course all of this is just this idiots opinion.
No idoit there, Tim, you hit the nail on the head. Â Come on, what do the waders do for you besdies keep you dry? Â For Seven bills and the tax I could spend a night at the Ranch in Vegas and get a pair of G3s with the change.
