    Hey guys-

I am going to ask for a net for Christmas and I am wondering if you can help.

I’d like a wooden net that is strong, big enough for a 24″ trout, and preferably with hexagonal or rubber netting for picture purposes.

Exotic hardwoods are irrelevant but price is not.

Zach a year ago I bought a kit from cabela’s. It includes the unfinished frame and net. You finish the frame and then lace on the net. It turned out great. Was very inexpensive. Plus you can pick the wood finish you want. Both cabela’s and netcraft sell these.

    Zach,

You can get the Walmart net, take the bag off it and spray paint the bass bubba gold handle any color you want…

I have a wood Pacific Fly Group net that I like quite a bit. It’s the Steelhead size, but it really isn’t big enough for anything much over 22-24″, or so. It has held up well though and it was around $40.00(I think)
