Blueridge, GA fly fishing

I am headed to Blueridge in a couple weeks with the family for vacation. I am planning to fish the Toccoa some through the week and I’ve been researching it a bit. I see that neither the freestone end or the tailwater end have a ton of public access. Can anyone recommend a fly shop in the area that I can stop by when I get into town? Having not fished up there before and having a limited window, I want to get all the info I can. Thanks in advance!

I was up there a couple of weeks ago for the first time. I’m sort of new to trout, most of my fishing up until this point has been warmwater. The fishing was only ok because of this, at least that’s my excuse ?. I fished at Tammen right next to the dam and at Curtis Switch. Both places were decently productive, but also don’t forget about the mountains.
Blue Ridge Fly Shop is a great place to visit and there guys in there were very helpful as well. Before I stopped in there I went to the Fannin County visitors center and bought a map that had all the streams and roads mapped out. The guy working behind the counter showed me a few places on the map to check out. Also depending on which way you are coming from there is a great fly shop about an hour south of Blue Ridge in Cartersville, Georgia called Cohutta Fishing Company. I stopped in there on my way back home and all the guys in there were very kind and helpful.
P.S. – if you follow Blue Ridge Fly Shop on Instagram they post fishing reports nearly every other dayThanks for all the insight, just a follow up on the trip. Had a great time doing a whole lot of nothing! Was able to get out on the Toccoa 3 times during the week and caught fish at every spot. Threw a hopper/dropper rig and had a lot of fun slinging my 4 weight. Seemed to catch more size towards the dam and the smaller stockers further downstream. Will be in Atlanta in a couple weeks for a few days and I am gonna try to fish the Hooch one of the days. That river will be another first for me so I am pretty pumped. Hopefully the dam releases will cooperate!
