Anybody seeing any used standup paddleboards popping up on Craigslist or like a local whitewater forum? My new job has a parking deck that I can’t my canoe into. I need something flatter or I have to fight traffic all the way back to my house to pick up my boat.
Our striper season is nearing a conclusion but we do have some decent conditions right now and I’d like to try to keep at it.

I have a hard/epoxy board which I tool around LaJolla Shores, the caves, Mission Bay, San Diego Bay, etc but I have not rigged it for fishing. Last week I fished the Green River in Utah for the first time. There was a mother/daughter on SUP’s cruising down the river, even through the rapids, which looked like a blast. I spoke to them a little and they are required by regulation on that river to use inflatable SUP’s.
They say that is to avoid damage to the board by hitting rocks, etc. Makes sense.
For a broad range of fishing, ocean, lake, bay and river an Inflatable may make sense. Especially with tight storage requirements, you can just deflate with a pump, roll it up and store it. They appear very solid.

I know the local Jackson Kayaks dealer in Denver has the Jackson SUPs and other manufacturers on close out right now. Maybe check your local paddle shop and see if they are unloading the 2014s or demo models since the 2015s are on their way.

The problem with our garage here at work is, even a SUP would be a tight fit on my CR-v, and it is approaching the end of its lifespan at almost 150k miles now. I am probably going to get a 4Runner next spring when the note on the CR-v is paid off, and those things are really tall these days.
How hard are the SUPs to inflate? About like a pontoon boat?
Maybe check the November used-gear sale at USNWC -http://usnwc.org/used-boat-bike-sale/ I know they have a huge inventory of hard SUPs; not sure whether they own any inflatables but I do see them out there a lot (maybe privately owned).
I think NOC just had their sale last weekend, but it wouldn’t hurt to call them and see if they have anything left to sell.
