This kind of camera is really starting to get interesting.

Despite it’s lack of weight and size, the Sony a6000 has a lot of tech that you don’t get in a DSLR thanks to it’s electronic
    viewfinder and mirror-less design.
Image quality, from the samples I’ve seen is very very good from it’s 24mp sensor.
The range of lenses from Sony, Zeiss, Sigma and others is also getting very serious.

The thing that intrigues me the most is the face tracking in it’s AF.
I can think of a lot of situations that would be handy in – like photographing kids darting around like they do or action shots of someone fishing as it will not only focus on the tracked face but expose for it as well.
    Very useful in changing light.
The other thing is it’s memory functions.
You can change between 3 completely different set-up on one bottom – none of my pro cameras have ever had that.

I have read some negative lens reviews where consistency in copies of any given lens was broad – never a good thing.
The Zeiss lenses also may have some soft wear issues when used on the Sony.

There’s more lenses being announced for the Photokina show this August so we’ll see what pops up..

A picture is thousand words that takes less than a second while a thousand words is a picture that takes a month.
