    Hey guys –

I have a very good idea but I need some help implementing it. I built my boat with a flat floor, so that when I am poling it alone I can move the Yeti back and forth and pole from an even-keeled position. I did it this weekend and it works great. Yeti recently released a cup holder that clips on to the cooler in the slot; very very solid. They also released a rod holder. I’ve got them both, obviously one on each side of the cooler.

My idea is to make an insert out of plywood that will fill in the cup holder, like a wooden beer can. Then I want to mount one of these to the top:

Only problem is, Tibor is charging $120 for that, which is a lot for a down and dirty Gheenoe. I am real comfortable molding PVC into push pole clips so one option is just to make this myself. I’d have to rig up an angled mount of some kind but I think I can make that happen. But first I thought I would check and see if anyone knows of a less expensive push pole caddy option?

    Thanks!

Edit: on second thought it might be easier to just manufacture a Yeti clip out of steel and a vise, then maybe plasti-dip it for looks. I could just mount a flagpole holder to that and manufacture my own pushpole clip out of PVC. Hmmmmm.

Here’s my better idea. Should only cost about $20.

Hmm. Apparently the image uploader is broken.

Well, that only took an update of the entire website… Fortunately I was able to re-enable search, which will make browsing the archives much easier.

    Here’s my plan.
