Took a couple days off work last week to get out and enjoy the winter weather.  Hope you enjoy.

    Thanks guys.

I will always try and shoot at the fastest speeds I can when light permits. Most of these were shot at 1/1000th or 1/1600th between 5.6 and f/8. The last few days I have been able to pull off ISO 100. It was nice, considering that most of shots come early morning or later in the evening that require my aperture to be wide open at 2.8 and often I am bumping my ISO up to 400-600.

    I hope that helps.

    Surely!

I always find my neatest birds on the dreariest of days..

Are you shooting with a tripod or freehand?

    #73504

    I freehand a 300mm 2.8VR and occasionally use a 1.7TC extender.

I can’t tell you how many photo opps I have passed on when photographing birds because of poor lighting conditions.
