This is the first year I have not fished for steelhead in almost 20 years–Consequently, its the first year I haven’t caught a steelhead for an entire year as well-

I miss fishing Western NY and PA this time of year—

Michigan as well–

My new Florida friends think I am crazy when they see some of my winter steelheading pics—Of course, in a place where people wear flip flops and shorts year round, seeing a guy trudging through the snow with flyrod in hand probably does seem a little crazy–

HA! Well the hat was a result of me searching “unicorn hat” on ebay. $14 later that hat has caused quite an uproar. It brought me luck anyway!
